Read Heartbeats and Incidents

A Heartbeat is recorded evidence from a Pulse report or an authoritative Probe round. It records the observation before niceuptime evaluates monitor state.
The state evaluator applies the monitor policy, including failure and recovery thresholds. A failed observation can leave the monitor late or move it to failing, depending on that policy.
An Incident is the persisted record of a failing period. It opens when the state transition reaches failing and resolves only after recovery satisfies the monitor policy.
Open the monitor to inspect recent checks, including their source, result, time, and any available region or latency. Use that evidence with the monitor policy to understand an Incident’s opening or recovery.
