Create your first HTTP probe

Choose Probe when niceuptime should make an outbound HTTP request to a public target.

Enter a name and an HTTP or HTTPS URL. Choose GET or HEAD, set the expected status policy, select an allowed interval and the regions that should run the check, then save the monitor.

The URL must resolve to a public host. niceuptime rejects literal private, loopback, link-local, multicast, and other reserved or special-use destinations when the Probe is configured. It resolves hostnames and applies the same public-address policy again before requests are sent.

Use the Probe test action to check the target configuration before saving when it is available in the form. After saving, inspect the monitor’s observations for the result, region, time, and latency.
